Memorial service for broadcaster Dillon Friday

A memorial service for longtime Valley sports broadcaster Tom Dillon is planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Road in Phoenix.

Dillon, 65, who was the voice of Arizona State sports and Cardinals football for years, died Monday of an apparent heart attack.

Following the memorial service, a reception will be held at Foothills Golf Club, 2201 E. Clubhouse Drive in Phoenix.

In lieu of flowers, the Dillon family requests that donations, payable to “Tom Dillon ASU Scholarship Fund,” be mailed to: First Community Bank, Attention: John Mistler, 2710 E. Camelback Road No. 100, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
