The 16,000-square-foot Storables store that just opened in Mesa can be summarized in just one word - organization.
The Oregon-based retail chain makes and sells products to restore order to messy homes and offices.
They sell everything from hooks, hangers and hampers to boxes, bins and bags.
The store, which opened Thursday, is in Mesa's Dana Park Village Square, at the northwest corner of Baseline Road and Val Vista Drive.
It's the second Storables in Arizona after the company took over the former Organized Living store at Sonora Village shopping center at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Loop 101 in Scottsdale.
If you're surprised there's actually a store that sells things like boxes and hangers - things any resourceful cheapskate ought to be able procure for free or at the nearest Wal-Mart - you obviously missed the recent opening of the Container Store, a retailer that sells ... well, containers.
It's located in the Whole Foods-anchored shopping center on the southwest corner of Mayo Boulevard and Scottsdale Road in Phoenix.
lOWE'S SLATED FOR TEMPE

The North Carolina-based retailer said the Tempe location could employ up to 120 new workers.
The chain, which opened its first Arizona store in 2000, now has 31 locations in the state.
HOME COOKING AT COUNTRY CAFE

Owners of the new eatery, which opens Dec. 4 on Gilbert Road, south of Elliot Road, go on to describe it on their Web site as "whimsical, cozy and charming with a hometown, country feel."
The menu features freshly made soups, salads, sandwiches, baked beans and deserts.
