Tempe police arrested a man suspected of attacking and sexually abusing two women in a span of eight minutes Thursday morning.

Corey D. Glancy, 20, is suspected of trying to lure two women in separate incidents into his truck before attacking them and touching them in appropriately in the area near Hardy Drive and Grove Parkway, police said.

The first attack occurred at 6:21 a.m. when a woman stepped off a bus and began walking down the sidewalk when she was grabbed by the arm and touched inappropriately. The woman was able to get away and call police.

At 6:29 a.m., police received similar reports from a woman who had been chased down and molested as she walked down the street. Reports said the woman struggled with the assailant who also took her purse before fleeing.

Glancy was arrested at 6:57 a.m. at his home when police officers noticed a truck matching the description of the one seen at the crime scenes outside the home near Parkside Drive and Grove Parkway, police reported. He was arrested on suspicion of three counts of sexual abuse, three counts of assault and one count of robbery.

Police advised pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings when walking at any time of day and to carry a charged cell phone in case of emergencies.
