Anthem: Daisy Mountain Veterans Day Parade and Family Picnic with picnic and activities. 10 a.m. Saturday. Gavilan Peak Parkway softball field across from Venture Court at noon. Mesa: Veterans Day Parade features high school ROTC exhibition drilling, displays including antique military vehicles, as well as a patriotic speech by West Point graduate Bill Montgomery and a "Celebrate America" dance performance from Totality Musical Dance Theatre at Mesa Arts Center. 11 a.m. Tuesday. Avondale: Avondale, in partnership with the American Legion Crandall Palmer Post 61 and the VFW Pat Tillman Memorial Post 40, will honor America's veterans featuring Agua Fria High School District ROTC Color Guard, a flyover from Luke Air Force Base and a flag-folding ceremony.
