Firefighters aided by home sprinkler system

The Scottsdale Fire Department responded to a north Scottsdale house fire Thursday in the 29000 block of 108th Street, where a residential sprinkler system likely played a key role in putting out the fire and limiting damage, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported from the fire. An investigation will begin to determine the cause and a damage estimate.
A smoke detector activation from an alarm monitoring service alerted the fire department through a 911 call.
