Danny White, who led the Arizona Rattlers to two Arena Football League titles, is set to return to the team as offensive coordinator, a league source confirmed on Monday.
The Rattlers are set to make the announcement on White, who resigned as coach of the Utah Blaze, on Tuesday.
The Rattlers also have a commitment from Joe Germaine, the former Mesa Mountain View High School and Ohio State quarterback who played for White in Utah, and from Blaze receiver J.J. McKelvey, the league source said.
White was a star athlete at Mesa Westwood High School and at Arizona State. He then enjoyed a successful NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys.
He coached the Rattlers from 1992-04, guiding them to league championhips in ’94 and ’97. In his final three seasons, his teams lost three straight ArenaBowl championship games.
He coached the Blaze from 2006-08.
