As long as they're catching passes, Kurt Warner will keep throwing them.
With Anquan Boldin out following nasal surgery, the remaining trio more than made up for their temporarily lost Pro Bowler.
For the second week in a row, Breaston bolstered the Cardinals' passing game opposite Larry Fitzgerald, with seven receptions for a team-high 77 yards in the Cardinals' 41-17 victory against Buffalo on Sunday.
That's 16 receptions for 199 yards in the past two games for Breaston, whose improvement was raved about by coaches and teammates during minicamp, and they're still going.
"I'm feeling better about him, where in tough situations I'll throw the football to him," Warner said. "That's what you want. "... I feel more and more comfortable with what he's going to do, how he's going to do it, which is huge for us especially when (Boldin) isn't in. Steve's working his way up the ladder and becoming a guy I can trust."
Right behind him was Doucet. The team's rookie third-round choice didn't have a reception this season, seeing limited playing time on offense because of Fitzgerald, Boldin, Breaston and Urban.
That changed on Sunday, as Doucet finished with six catches for 42 yards.
"Just play football," Doucet said. "They have a lot of confidence in me. When Q went down they had enough confidence to put me in that role and I was able to make plays."
The Cardinals spread the field most of the day with three- and four-wideout sets, while the offensive line was significantly better in pass protection from a week ago.
Warner rarely took more than a three-step drop and only averaged 7.6 yards per completion, but the "other" trio of wideouts ran crossing patterns and slants to near-perfection and helped compile a whopping 28 first downs, 19 of which came in the first half.
Boldin is still questionable for this weekend's game against Dallas, but the Cardinals are leaning toward playing it safe since their bye follows Dallas.
These days, there's less consternation in Cardinals camp about Boldin's injury and what it means for the offense. Breaston and Urban combined for 14 receptions and 172 yards against the Jets, and on Sunday, Breaston, Doucet, Urban and J.J. Arrington (19 receptions, 154 yards) helped teammates and 63,830 fans forget about Boldin for a day.
"You've seen everyone," Breaston said. "You've seen Early, Jerheme and J.J. come in and make little plays. We all filled in the void today."
