Paradise Valley Mall, at Cactus Road and Tatum Boulevard, has a few new retailers on board.
Sophia's Kids Furniture has already opened near the KayBee toy store.
Sometime this month look for Nu Smile, a kiosk offering the latest trends in teeth whitening, and Forever Young Wigs, which will sell natural hair and costume wigs, extensions and accessories. Forever Young Wigs will debut in regular store space near J.C. Penney.
The shopping center anchored by Sprouts on the perimeter of the mall just got a new look and new landscaping. And so did one of its businesses. Sammy B's owners converted their eatery to Floyd's Kitchen. It's more of a wine bar now than a pizza joint.
DOUGHNUTS RETURN
On Oct. 9, Krispy Kreme is pegged to open a store with drive-through window at 12629 N. Paradise Village Parkway West. The doughnut shop chain recently returned to the Valley with the first new store in Mesa.
COMING SOON
Electronics giant Pioneer plans to open its second U.S. signature store at CityCenter in CityNorth, the 70-acre heart of the residential, retail, office and entertainment complex under construction at 56th Street and Deer Valley Drive in northeast Phoenix.
The only other U.S. Pioneer store is in tony South Coast Plaza in Southern California. Pioneer plans to sell and service Pioneer, Elite and Premier brand product lines at the CityCenter shop.
It will feature "lifestyle vignettes," including an ultimate Pioneer home cinema experience and a vehicle to demonstrate the company's in-car navigation, audio and video options. "Pioneer's decision to expand beyond its flagship location at South Coast Plaza in Orange County to CityCenter of CityNorth is indicative of the hand-crafted retail experience we are bringing to the north East Valley," said Webber Hudson, executive vice president of Related Urban.
Other retailers just announced for CityCenter include Bebe, LensCrafters and Bobby Chan, which sells upscale but casual men's and women's clothing.
Related Urban also announced a few new dining options joining the lineup. Press Coffee Food Wine, Mojo Yogurt and Saito's Japanese Steak House have signed on. All plan to debut on High Street, which is slated to open Nov. 13.
High Street is the first of three mixed-use areas planned for CityCenter.
