Warner finished with a 158.3 quarterback rating, the third time he has posted a perfect rating during his career and the first time since 2000. His three perfect games tie him with Peyton Manning for the NFL record. He also became the first Cardinals quarterback to post a perfect rating since Jim Hart accomplished that feat on Nov. 23, 1975 in New York.
Warner completed his first nine pass attempts, including a 79-yard touchdown to Anquan Boldin and a 75-yard completion to Larry Fitzgerald, and finished with 361 passing yards -- the 42nd 300-yard game of his career and 12th as a member of the Cardinals.
This is the seventh time Warner has earned player-of-the-week honors and his third selection as a member of the Cardinals. He won the award in 2006 at the first game at University of Phoenix Stadium vs. San Francisco while also winning the award in 2005 in his return trip to play the St. Louis Rams. Warner is the first Cardinals offensive player to win the award three times since quarterback Neil Lomax was honored four times between 1984-1988.
Also Tuesday, the Cardinals signed running back Ryan Moats to the practice squad and released defensive end Jason Banks. Moats spent last season on Philadelphia's injured reserve list with an injured left ankle and was released by the Eagles in their final roster cut following training camp on Aug. 30.
Moats, a third-round pick in the 2005 draft, had appeared in 15 games for the Eagles with 77 carries for 347 yards and three touchdowns.
