Coyotes’ rookie camp schedule released

The Coyotes announced the schedule Thursday for their rookie camp at Jobing.com Arena from Sept. 13-17.

The camp will consist of on-ice practice sessions which are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 14 and 15.

The Coyotes rookies will also host the Los Angeles Kings rookies for two exhibition games at Jobing.com Arena that are also free and open to the public. The first game will be played on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. and will also be webcast on phoenixcoyotes.com. The second of the two rookie games against the Kings will take place on Sept. 17 at 2 p.m.

Among the Coyotes rookies scheduled to participate in the camp will be first round draft picks Kyle Turris (3rd overall, 2007), Mikkel Boedker (8th overall, 2008) and Viktor Tikhonov (28th overall, 2008), along with 2008 Hobey Baker Award winner Kevin Porter (4th round, 2004).
