ASU men's basketball schedule released

The Arizona State men's basketball team finalized its schedule this week. Other than a Thanksgiving trip to California for the Anaheim Classic - in which ASU will play Charlotte, either Providence or Baylor, and one other game - the Sun Devils play eight of their nine nonconference games in the Phoenix area.

The Sun Devils open the season Nov. 14 against Mississippi Valley State, followed by a Nov. 18 date at San Diego State.
Other highlights include a return game against Nebraska on Dec. 7 and a Dec. 20 matchup with Brigham Young as part of the Stadium Shootout at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
As usual, the Sun Devils will play 18 games in the Pac-10. The conference slate begins with a trip to the Bay Area to face Stanford and California beginning Jan. 2.
The Sun Devils will play Arizona in Tucson on Jan. 21, then host the Wildcats on Feb. 22. They will play USC and UCLA the weekend of Jan. 15 and travel to the Washington schools beginning Feb. 26.
ASU will close the slate against the Bay Area schools the weekend of March 5.
Once the TV schedules are determined, game times will be determined, likely in the next week.
