Scottsdale police arrested two men who they say were involved in a road-rage incident over the weekend in which one of the men pointed a handgun at a driver in another vehicle.
Police arrested Gregory Williams, 23, of Scottsdale, and Charles Daniel, 36, of Phoenix, about 10 a.m. Sunday after a man in another vehicle told police that Williams pointed a gun at him near Camelback Road and 77th Street after the man’s vehicle nearly was hit by a car driven by Williams.
Officers later made a traffic stop and first arrested Daniel, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant and on liquor and drug violations.
Williams fled on foot into a nearby apartment at the Oasis complex at 7777 E. Heatherbrae Drive where police made contact with him over the telephone before he exited the apartment and was arrested without incident on suspicion of aggravated assault and failure to obey and a weapons charge.
