A man who was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision in north Scottsdale on Sunday is facing a felony charge.

Driver arrested in fatal Scottsdale hit-and-run

William Rodman, 29, of Glendale, is accused of leaving the scene of a fatal injury accident, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

According to police reports, Rodman admitted to driving his 2001 Chevy Silverado truck into the back of a Nissan sedan driven by Gus Nowe.

Police said Nowe, 47, was stopped at a red light at Shea Boulevard and Hayden Road at 6 a.m. Sunday morning, when he was struck from behind. Rodman then allegedly fled the scene.

Authorities found Rodman’s truck at a Phoenix apartment complex about 1 p.m. that day and arrested him, according to police.

Nowe died from injuries at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn.
