The Phoenix Suns will release 500 new seat locations for season-ticket plan sales at 10 a.m. Sept. 8.

"As we approach the start of a new Suns season, it became clear that there is more demand for Suns season tickets than the number of seats we had allocated for purchase," said Suns president Rick Welts in a statement. "We're excited that more fans will now have the opportunity to become Suns season-ticket holders."

In addition, for fans interested in a more economical package, the team will release a limited number of half-season and 11-game partial season plans. The team did not offer partial season plans last season.

The Suns have sold out 117 consecutive games over the past three seasons.

Those interested in presale access for season tickets and partial season-ticket plans can become a member of Downtown Live, which is free of charge, by registering at www.suns.com. Tickets go on sale for Downtown Live members online at noon Tuesday.

Fans can purchase new season-ticket and partial plan locations online at www.suns.com or by phone at (602) 379-7867 beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 8.

The Suns make their regular-season debut on the road when they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 29.

The Suns will host the New Orleans Hornets in the home opener Oct. 30 at US Airways Center.
