A new loan program will enable more Arizona Public Service customers to take advantage of rebates and tax incentives available for adding personal renewable energy systems.

An agreement with nonprofit Electric Gas & Industries Association provides installment financing for systems such as roof-top solar electric, solar water heaters and windmills. The new GEOSmart loan is designed to eliminate the up-front cost, which is a barrier for many customers. The loans are funded through a partnership between the association and General Electric Money and will be offered through association-approved contractors.
