Police arrested Garza after he entered the home of Michael Six, 14, who held Garza off with an aluminum baseball bat while on the phone with a 911 operator, records say.
Garza, 31, pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary with one prior felony conviction and agreed to an aggravated term of 10.5 years; aggravated assault and agreed to an aggravated term of 10.5 years; three misdemeanors for criminal trespass in the first degree, sentenced to time served; and one count of misconduct involving weapons from a 2007 incident and agreed to an aggravated term of six years to run concurrent with the others.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 17.
