Gilbert tot falls from 2nd floor, survives

A 2-year-old Gilbert boy suffered minor injuries Monday when he fell from a second-floor balcony in the 3900 block of East Timberline, A Gilbert Fire Department spokesman said.
The boy, whose identity wasn’t released, fell onto a plastic child’s picnic bench on the first floor at about 10:45 a.m., authorities said.
The boy passed out but regained consciousness and was alert by the time firefighters arrived, authorities said. He was taken to Maricopa Medical Center with a cut lip and bump on his head.
