Woman beaten unconscious; boyfriend arrested

A domestic dispute turned violent Sunday after a Chandler man accused his girlfriend of sleeping with his brother and beat her until she was unconscious, police say.
David Gilbert Bergeon, 33, was booked by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Thursday for sexual abuse, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage, according to a police report.
The report said that Bergeon ripped off his girlfriend's shirt and forced her to the ground inside of his residence near the corner of Arizona Avenue and Warner Road at 5 p.m. Sunday.
He sat on top of her and repeatedly punched her in the face, police said.
While on top of her, he grabbed her breasts and claimed he was going to tear them from her body. Then he began to choke her, but she managed to slip away, the report said.
Bergeon cornered her and began kicking her in the face and body, knocking her unconscious. When she came to, he was striking her with his hands, the report said.
Bergeon was transferred to the Fourth Avenue Maricopa County Jail after he was arrested Thursday afternoon.
