Tucker, who netted a game-high 24 points was complemented by Robin Lopez, who scored 14 points and snatched eight boards, D.J. Strawberry, who finished with 12 points, and Jiri Hubalke, who scored 10.

The Suns also got some solid minutes from Jared Jordan, who went 6-for-6 from the free throw line and finished with eight points and a team-high three steals in just less than 14 minutes.

The Suns charged out of the gate, getting off to a 5-0 start before the Spurs tied the game at 12-12 with 4:36 to play. The Suns then went on a 13-3 run to end the quarter up 25-15.

Phoenix stayed hot into the second quarter, as the Suns outscored the Spurs 10-2 in the opening four minutes of the period. The momentum didn’t shift, as San Antonio never got closer than seven and Phoenix opened up a 44-36 halftime lead. Phoenix didn’t let up in the second half, stretching its lead to as much as 25 points in the third quarter with the help of Tucker’s 10 points.

James Gist topped all San Antonio scorers with 13 points.
