John Leptich, Tribune

Chandler firefighters were called to a construction site at Alma School and Queen Creek roads to rescue a man who fell into a ditch about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The 25-year-old man, whose identity hasn’t been released, fell 30 feet into the open hole, according to Chief Dan Couch. The victim complained of hip pain and was taken to a hospital to determine the extent of his injuries, Couch said.
