Police say an Avondale man drove nearly 50 miles to have sex with a 15-year-old Chandler girl he met through MySpace, only to have the girl’s father discover him in his daughter’s bedroom.
The father told police that he found 23-year-old Justin Allen Lee inside of his daughter’s bedroom at 3 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a police booking record, Lee fled on foot and left his car in front of the victim’s home in the 2600 block of S. Rincon Drive, near the intersection of Gilbert and Queen Creek Roads, in Chandler.
Police called Lee on his cell phone later that night, asking him to return to the scene, but he refused.
A police dog tracked down Lee near a church at the intersection of Dragoon Drive and Goldfinch Way, less than a mile away from the home.
After his arrest, Lee told police that he chatted with the girl on MySpace. Lee said the girl asked him to come over, but he thought she was 17. He denied seeing her real age listed on her MySpace page.
“I just didn’t think,” Lee told police in an interview. “I knew the signs were there that she was young.”
Lee told police that he knew the girl was young through the way she talked to him and also how she had to sneak him into her house through a side door after her father fell asleep.
Lee also confessed that he only went to the girl’s house to have sex with her because his hormones “got the best of him,” according to the report.
Lee was booked through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for sexual conduct with a minor.
He is currently on probation for armed robbery and lives with his parents in Avondale.
