UA recruit Jennings’ SAT results delayed another week
Brandon Jennings’ waiting game will stretch another week. The highly touted Arizona Wildcats basketball recruit, who believed he would receive his SAT score Saturday, learned he will have to wait until Friday.
The point guard has taken the test three times. He did not receive a qualifying score on the first attempt, and was red-flagged by the NCAA on his second try because of a significant jump in score.
If Jennings does not receive a qualifying score on his third SAT attempt, he would not be eligible to play at UA.
The Tribune first reported last week that Jennings would not receive a qualifying SAT score.
Jennings — ranked the No. 1 incoming recruit by Scout.com, Rivals.com and ESPN.com — is considering playing professionally in Europe for one year instead of attending Arizona. He would then enter the 2009 NBA draft.
Saturday’s news won’t skew Jennings’ decision-making process, family friend Kelly Williams said Saturday. He said he was “sure (the decision) will come after the 11th.”
