Mesa man identifies alleged robber

Hector Alfredo Martinez was charged with armed robbery by Mesa police Wednesday after a man identified Martinez as having kicked in the door of the victim’s apartment and robbed him at gunpoint at 5:30 a.m. June 22 in the 600 block of north Country Club Drive. In a police report taken at the scene of the incident and during a photo lineup, the victim said Martinez, 21, pointed a handgun at him and demanded his cell phone and laptop computer. Martinez is listed in a police report as an unemployed transient.

So, we’re calling illegal immigrants “unemployed transient” now? How about printing the immigration status of the suspect? Or do we still have to wait four months for the cops to be trained to ask “are you a legal resident of the United States?”. gascon, you can print that and hang it on the bulletin board if that will help in your training.

Yeah, he’s got a Hispanic name, he must be here illegally. We all know there are no “White Unemployed Transients.” Jump on the bandwagon, just don’t fall under the wheels.

IF THIS MAN IS AN ILLEGAL, IT JUST ADDS TO THE PILE OF CRIMES
COMMITTED BY ILLEGAL ALIENS.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOUR MONTHS FOR GASCON TO INITIATE THE NEW IMMIGRATION POLICY?
IN FOUR MONTHS, GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT OTHER CRIMES WILL BE COMMITTED BY ILLEGALS IN MESA.
THIS NEW POLICY TOUTED BY GASCON, IS NOTHING MORE THAN A FEW CRUMBS THROWN OUT TO QUIET HIS DETRACTORS.
GASCON NEEDS TO GET BEHIND THE EIGHT BALL ON THIS IMMIGRATION
ISSUE.
NOT TO DO SO HORRIBLY ENDANGERS THE CITIZENS OF MESA.
DO NOT WAIT FOR ANOTHER KILLING OR MAIMING OF THE POLICE FORCE OR CITIZENRY.
THESE PEOPLE NEED TO GO HOME AND THEN APPLY FOR ENTRANCE INTO OUR COUNTRY, LIKE THE REST OF LAW ABIDDING PEOPLE WOULD DO.

But you might have forgot to mention ,a crime was committed by one person upon another person.
Why was race even mentioned by gasconisaza and Oh sure?
I believe in being in this country legally and minding the laws.

Chief Gascon’s new policy was formulated within city hall, including input from the mayor. He works for others, and does not have the authority, or desire to become another Sherif Joe. Get your facts straight, and learn to type without “CapsLock” on.
