JPMorgan Chase moves 420 jobs from the Valley
Comments | RecommendTony Natale, Tribune
JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank operating in Arizona with more than 9,000 workers, is preparing to transfer 420 customer-service telephone jobs from the Valley.
Those who will be relocated work in a Chase office in Phoenix at 1820 E. Sky Harbor Circle Blvd. South.
None of the more than 1,500 employees at the Tempe telephone service office, 100 W. University Drive, will be affected, said Chase spokeswoman Mary Jane Rogers.
The 420 employees are among 2,000 workers at the facility near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Those who are not reassigned to new jobs with the bank will receive severance packages, Rogers said.
The employees will work at jobs in Texas, Ohio, the Philippines, Missouri and Michigan, she said.
The Valley job cuts are the result of an on-going workforce-efficiency drive.
“We’re continually reviewing our business priorities looking for efficiency,” Rogers said.
