Chandler police identify man found slain

Chandler police have identified a homicide victim found in an alley last weekend.

Marcos Rodriguez Perez, 28, of Chandler was discovered Saturday behind a house at 505 W. Palomino Drive. Authorities do not believe Perez was killed there, police spokesman Detective Frank Mendoza said.

Details regarding how Perez died were not immediately released.

This is the city's fifth homicide of 2008; two cases have been closed by Chandler authorities.
