PHOENIX - Phoenix police say two men are dead in an apparent murder-suicide that happened after one man confronted his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Detective Reuben Gonzales says the woman and her 44-year-old boyfriend were working in a home garage near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Drive Friday night when the woman's ex-boyfriend showed up.

Gonzales says the ex-boyfriend pointed a handgun at the couple and forced them into the home, where a fight broke out. The woman ran from the house and called police from a neighbor's home.

By the time a SWAT team entered the home, the new boyfriend had been shot to death. The 45-year-old ex-boyfriend was also found shot to death.

No names have been released.
