Retail Corridor: Philosophy to offer skin care line at company store in Mesa
David Woodfill, Tribune
A Valley-based maker of popular skin care products once available only at retailers like Macy’s and Nordstrom, will open its second location in the nation.
Philosophy — a product line that’s received big boosts in recent years from endorsements by celebrities like Oprah Winfrey — will open May 10 at Dana Park Village Square at U.S. 60 and Val Vista Drive in Mesa.
The company has one other store at the Casa Paloma Shopping Center at Ray Road and Priest Drive in Chandler.
Cost Plus
Cost Plus World Market will help with all of your wicker furniture needs when it opens at Queen Creek Marketplace on Thursday.
The store, which also sells accent pillows and martini shakers, will host a sneak preview on Wednesday of its newest location at Rittenhouse and Ellsworth roads in Queen Creek.
Victoria’s Secret
Ten-thousand square feet may seem like a lot of room to store underwear, but the Victoria’s Secret lingerie store at Superstition Springs Center in east Mesa will more than double in size when it relocates to a new space at the mall sometime this summer.
The retailer will increase from a 5,000-square-foot store to a 10,000-square-foot store when it moves from its current location near Macy’s to a space formerly occupied by Stillman Blades and Collectibles, Bath and Body Works, FYE music store and Select Comfort mattress store.
Jim’s Ace Hardware
If you’re a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to home repair, Jim’s Ace Hardware store in Queen Creek, located just south of Chandler Heights Road on Power Road, is hosting its grand opening today.
Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is in the works at the corner of Signal Butte Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa.
The 10,000-square-foot restaurant is working its way through the city’s approval process and it’s unclear when it will open.
