Young gets five-year, $28 million extension from D-Backs

Diamondbacks center fielder Chris Young will earn a $1 million signing bonus this season as part of his five-year, $28 million contract extension, which will be announced at 3 p.m.
Young agrees to 5-year extension with D-Backs
The extension will pay Young $1.75 million in 2009, $3.25 million in 2010, $5 million in 2011, $7 million in 2012 and $8.5 million in 2013.
The D-Backs hold an $11.5 million option for 2014, with a $1.5 million buyout.
Young is tied for the major league lead with four home runs.
