Cards sign CB Brown to one-year deal

The Cardinals re-signed free agent cornerback Ralph Brown to a one-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.
Brown had 23 tackles (17 solos) one interception, and four passes defensed after signing with the Cardinals as a free agent on April 13, 2007. Originally a fifth-round selection (140th overall) by the New York Giants in the 2000 NFL Draft out of Nebraska, Brown spent his first four seasons with the Giants including 2003 when he collected a career high 41 tackles (28 solos) and two interceptions while starting in seven games.
Brown then spent two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (2004-05) before signing with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent in 2006. In 97 career games (13 starts), Brown has 163 tackles (121 solos), four interceptions, one sack, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
