A motorcyclist received multiple injuries and was taken to an area hospital when she collided with a car in Mesa on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash happened about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Country Club Drive and involved a 42-year-old female motorcyclist and the driver of a car, Mesa fire Capt. John Jayne said.
“She was transported to the hospital with multiple fractures to her right leg,” Jayne said. The motorcycle driver, who was not identified, was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, he said.
“She wasn’t wearing a helmet, but there was no head trauma and she was conscious the whole time,” he said.
Authorities said the other vehicle stopped a short distance away from the crash and that police were investigating the cause of the collision.
Jayne said one ambulance unit responded to the scene.
“The other individual wasn’t injured,” he said regarding the driver in the car.
