Is the big game what finally gets you to venture over to the west side? Well, if you're a last-minute sort, you won't be able to park anywhere near the arena:

Complete Super Bowl XLII coverage

Super Bowl telecast an all-day event

Ten spots for Super Bowl dining

All the Click and Park passes are long gone - and, thanks to the weather, vehicles that were supposed to park in the White Lot passes now must find a place in the newly created West Blue Lot (Information: www.sbxlii.clickandpark.com). Cash parking will be available at Kellis High School, 91st Avenue and Orangewood, but the lot opens at 9 a.m.

HIT THE ROADS! OH, WAIT...

In what might be the understatement of the month, Glendale warns that "heavy traffic is expected on Loop 101 between Northern and Glendale avenues, as well as on Glendale Avenue."

And it's not the Valley's only road restriction. To get pedestrians to the NFL Experience, Glendale will close 95th Avenue between Maryland Avenue and Hanna Lane, and Maryland between 95th and 93rd avenues. To keep traffic moving, reversible lanes and dual turn lanes will pop up on 91st Avenue.

Valley Metro will offer extended hours and frequency for Routes 70, 59 and 67 today (Information: www.valleymetro.org).

WHAT'S GOING ON OVER AT WESTGATE?

Westgate City Center might end up with more people than the Super Bowl itself: It has no fewer than five events running at the same time for those who want to be close to the action but couldn't (or didn't want to) score a ticket to the big game.

Tailgate City, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., east lot. Whether you're bringing your own food or scoring from on-site vendors, the American Tailgate Association has reserved 50,000 square feet for exhibits, interactive zones, a music stage...oh, yeah, and tailgating.

AVP Crocs Super Court Pro Beach Volleyball: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., west lot. "The Valley's largest beach party" hopes to build buzz for the upcoming beach volleyball season, and, given the Valley's dearth of water, this might be your only chance to watch some of the sport's most popular players in exhibition matches with AVP pros and other celebrities. Another site lets fans try their own skills at serving, digging and spiking.

Forever Resorts Outdoor Recreation Village: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., west lot. Maybe you're looking for something a little more...low energy, and less sandy. A coalition of outdoor-rec companies sponsors this interactive fair of recreation opportunities, including a rock-climbing wall, tours of a 75-foot houseboat and practice simulators for fishing, hunting and...boating. How hard is it to imagine what it'd be like to sit in a boat?

The Jack Daniel's Experience: noon to 1 a.m., Westgate Boulevard. A different kind of adults-only experience explains how the company makes its Tennessee whiskey, plus offers some cocktails and merchandise for sale.

Miller Lite Super party: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., southwest lot. Less liquor, more beer. Concessions include bratwursts, burgers and...chocolate-covered strawberries?! (No, really.)

Motorola Super Stage: 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., Waterdance Plaza. Music from rock to country, dance to pop. Bands include KilRoy, 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.; Metal Head, noon to 2 p.m.; Joe Nichols and Chris Young, 2:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.; and Whiskey Falls, 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Concessions include pizza, hot dogs, chicken Caesar and vegetarian wraps and fruit smoothies.
