Police seek help in locating drugstore robbers

Scottsdale police are asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate two men caught on video surveillance robbing a Walgreens clerk after hitting him over the head with a handgun.

The men entered the Walgreens at 8469 E. McDonald Drive at about 11:20 p.m. Monday and demanded cash and checks from the cash register after faking a small purchase, according to Scottsdale police.

Each of the two robbers was carrying a skateboard.

The clerk, a 61-year-old man, suffered a minor injury, but did not require hospitalization, police said.

Anyone who recognizes either of the two men is asked to call (480) 312-5000.
