According to a police report, authorities were called to the Mervyn’s, 1240 E. Main Street, because security video caught a man looking up a woman’s skirt. The video showed Sostenes following the woman, and then laying on the ground as to better see up her skirt. Another time, he knelt down.

The 58-year-old woman told police she had no idea Sostenes was peeping on her.

After his arrest, Sostenes said his wife, back in Mexico, is very young and he is attracted to women his own age. He also said he hasn’t done anything like this in the last 10 years.

The arrest report states Sostenes was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
