The dead woman found in a Mesa canal this week was identified Friday as Elise Lea Dewakuku, 32.

Mesa is starting to sound like Juarez Mexico.
Where a women’s life and safety isn’t worth the dirt her dead violated body is found on.

Never thought I would feel that way about an American City.
Every government official should feel shame for what their Personal corruption

BS DESTROYER!

I realize I am not privy to all the details regarding this HORRIFIC crime...nevertheless...I am deeply saddened to learn of this TRAGEDY this morning. What this WOMAN could have possibly done to someone that would warrant MURDER is difficult to fathom. It is especially gut wrenching to think this family will be dealing with this tragedy just as the rest of us head off to the malls to begin our holiday shopping...

May GOD BLESS Elise Lea Dewakuku and her family...and may her killers find JUSTICE!!!

How Long?

How long does it take to perform an autopsy? How long does it take to process a toxicology report? For Mesa PD to state they are not quite sure how she died, really gives me a lot of confidence in our PD. It would have been better to state, "An autopsy has been performed but we are withholding COD as this is an active homicide investigation". Suggest removal of this comment

Correct - you ARENT privy

No where in this article does it say that Elise was murdered. For 'HOW LONG': It takes approximately 2 hours to perform an autopsy yet sometimes a few days after a person dies until an autopsy can be conducted. It currently takes anywhere between 2 months and 6 months to get toxicology reports back through the OME office which sends these out of state for testing. ....and why would you want the Mesa PD to say "as this is an active homicide investigation" when at the time of this article's interview that had not yet been determined. I pity your lack of confidence in the Mesa P.D. due to an honest response in a newspaper article! Comment has been reviewed

Rusty what would make you think that Elsie had a drug overdose?!? Nowhere does it say anything to that effect. Strange how you would assume this! Did you know this woman? How rude of you to judge, especially not knowing Elsie. I was fortunate to have met her and all of her children. I sure hope you have an answer for her youngest when they ask you what "Crystal Methamphetamines" are.
