LAWRENCE — Kansas will begin selling tickets immediately for the Dec. 31 Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., the school announced Friday.
"It is all but certain that Kansas will be playing in the Insight Bowl," Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe said in a news release. "Formal Big 12 procedures prevent the conference from making an announcement until Sunday afternoon."
Each team will have an allotment of 10,500 tickets at $55 each. The price for students is $25.
The Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium would pit Kansas (7-5) against a Big Ten opponent not yet selected.
The Jayhawks, with Todd Reesing erasing virtually all the school's career and single-season passing records, closed out their regular season last week with an upset victory over No. 19 Missouri, the Big 12 North champion.
