Hikers, fishers, hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts are invited to a wilderness first-aid class sponsored by the American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter.
The class will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 19-20 at Sportsman’s Warehouse, 1750 S. Greenfield Road, Mesa.
The $115 course is designed for those who work, play or live in areas 30 minutes or more from regular emergency medical services. An experienced instructor combines classroom lecture with skills practice and role-playing. The class will teach response steps and treatment of injuries and illnesses in a “delayed help” situation.
