• Five Arizona State players have been named to postseason award watch lists, including sophomore Brett Wallace who finds himself on three of them. Wallace has been named a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, and is on the watch list for the Dick Howser Trophy and the Brooks Wallace Award. All three awards honor the most outstanding player in college baseball.

Joining Wallace as a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award is junior Eric Sogard. Junior Matt Spencer is also on the Howser watch list. Sophomore Petey Paramore has been named to the Johnny Bench Award watch list, given to the top collegiate catcher. Four Devils are on the Wallace Award list, headlined by Wallace. Joining Wallace are Spencer, Paramore and junior left-hander Josh Satow.

The Wallace Award is presented in July to coincide with the College Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
