Former Arizona State University and Cardinals quarterback Jake Plummer backed out of his wedding this past weekend on the day it was to take place, multiple sources confirmed Wednesday.
The ceremony was being held in Hawaii.
The story was first leaked to a Valley radio station via e-mail.
Plummer led the Sun Devils to the Rose Bowl after the 1996 season, finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting and quarterbacked the Cardinals to their lone playoff victory in 50 years following the 1998 season. He left the Cardinals as a free agent after the 2002 season, signing with the Denver Broncos.
