It will be Connecticut vs. Purdue and Memphis vs. Missouri when the NCAA men's basketball tournament comes to Glendale this week for the semifinals and finals of the West Region bracket.
The field was finalized Sunday when second-seeded Memphis defeated No. 10 Maryland 89-70, and No. 3 Missouri got by No. 6 Marquette 83-79.
On Saturday, top-seeded UConn advanced with a 92-66 victory over Texas A&M, and No. 5 Purdue moved on with a 76-74 win over No. 4 Washington.
Four of the top five seeds in the West are still alive.
Connecticut and Purdue will tip off at 4:07 p.m. Thursday in the first semifinal game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Memphis and Missouri will follow 30 minutes after that conclusion. The winners meet Saturday in the West Region finals for a spot in the Final Four.
