Arizona State coach Dennis Erickson said Monday wide receiver Michael Jones (concussion) has been cleared to return and practiced Sunday night.
Jones has 24 receptions for 396 yards and a team-high five touchdowns this season.
The status of a missing cog in ASU’s offense, however, is still not certain for the undefeated Sun Devils’ biggest game of the season thus far.
Erickson said he wished he knew whether or not tight end Brent Miller (knee) would be ready to go on Saturday against California.
“To me, it’s the old day-by-day statement we all make when we’re not sure.
“I would say for sure (next week) he’ll be ready to go,” Erickson said.
With running back Jarrell Woods (ankle) “finally healthy,” Erickson said Woods can now start contributing and helping the Sun Devils in the last five games.
Coming off a bye week, the No. 7 Sun Devils (7-0, 4-0 Pac-10) take on No. 18 Cal (5-2, 2-2) on Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium. The Golden Bears are coming off two straight conference losses.
