The Cardinals added more depth to their roster Monday, signing veteran free agent defensive lineman Bryan Robinson to a two-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Robinson is entering his 12th year in the NFL after playing for the St. Louis Rams (1997), Chicago Bears (1998-2003), Miami Dolphins (2004) and Cincinnati Bengals (2005-07). Robinson played all 16 games last season for the Bengals, with four starts at defensive end, and finished with 28 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

He is expected to play both defensive end and tackle for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals' schedule for the 2008 regular season is scheduled to be released today.

Top-ranked Arizona State cranked out 26 hits and scored 20 runs as it swept UNLV, 6-5 and 14-7, in a doubleheader at Farrington Stadium.

Right-hander Megan Elliott was credited with both of the Sun Devils' wins, improving her record to 16-0 as ASU improved to 46-3. The Rebels fell to 21-27-1.

In the first game, ASU ace Katie Burkhart came on in the seventh to close out the win and collect her second save of the season. The second game turned into a slugfest as both teams combined to put up 19 runs in the first three innings. ASU's Renee Welty went 4-for-4 with five RBIs andhit her ninth home run of the season.

The Sun Devils return to Pac-10 play this weekend as they host Part 2 of the "Duel in the Desert," taking on Arizona at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at Farrington Stadium.
