Free agent forward Matt Barnes arrived in Phoenix on Monday and completed much of the physical required to clear the way for him to join the Suns.
The 6-foot-7 former Golden State Warrior will finish the physical this morning and then sign a one-year contract which, according to league sources, will be for the NBA veteran minimum salary.
As a player entering his sixth year in the league, Barnes will earn $998,398. The Suns are responsible for only $797,581 of that total, with the rest paid from a league fund.
