The Arizona State women's volleyball team opened play Friday afternoon at the Holly Young Invitational in Duham, N.H., with a 25-16, 25-15, 25-7 sweep of the Harvard Crimson.

Sarah Reaves led the ASU attack with 10 kills while Katie Crosby added 34 assists to push the Sun Devils to 8-2 on the year. Harvard fell to 2-6.

ASU capitalized on Harvard’s lack of control in the first set, as the Crimson put up nine attack errors and three service errors to give the Devils a 25-16 win.

Reaves shined in the second set, putting away six kills, while Sofie Schlaginetweit starred on defense with eight digs, a solo block and two block assists.

The Sun Devils left no room for doubt in the third set, with three blocks and Paige Mittelsaedt’s four kills leading the way to a 25-7 rout to put the match away.

ASU continues play with two games Saturday, facing Wyoming at 10 a.m. and tournament host New Hampshire at 7 p.m.
