Maui Invitational matchups with Illinois and either Duke or Princeton highlight the nonconference portion of the Arizona State men’s basketball schedule released Friday.

The Sun Devils will open their season at the prestigious tournament against the Illini on Nov. 19 in Hawaii.

They could play the Blue Devils in the second round, with further chances to play Marquette, LSU or Oklahoma State.

They will also play Dec. 2 against Nebraska and Dec. 15 against co-Atlantic 10 champion Xavier.

ASU opens Pac-10 play with three consecutive home games, but follow those with three straight on the road in early February, as well as four of their final six.

Of the 17 regular season home games on the schedule, seven are against NCAA tournament teams.
