Too on One: The former ASU quarterback talks about his experience at the NFL scouting combine and the upcoming NFL draft.

Q: How did the scouting combine go?

A: I thought I did well throwing the ball. I thought I threw it really well, and I thought I interviewed real well also.

Defense dominates in ASU's spring game

SLIDESHOW: ASU Football Scrimmage

Point-Counterpoint: Who should be ASU's quarterback?

Q: What are those interviews like?

A: Some interviews they just want to talk to you about their offense, your experiences in college, the coaching staff you’ve had. Other meetings, they’ll draw up three of their plays; they’ll explain to you the play, the formation and protections. They want to see how much information you can retain.

Q: What was the strangest question you got?

A: People wanted to ask me why I feel it is I’m not a more highly sought-after prospect.

Q: What did you tell them?

A: To be honest with you, I don’t know. I told them I’d like that answer, too.

Q: Do you expect to be drafted?

A: I’ve heard so many different things. Unfortunately, a lot of teams that really like me have told me they’re not drafting a quarterback. A lot of teams tell me they don’t think I’m a draftable prospect. I’m just hoping to get drafted. If not, I’ll be a priority free agent somewhere.
