The Cardinals made a host of roster moves Wednesday to shore up some beat-up positions and to clear room for returning players going into their bye this weekend.
Quarterback Kurt Warner is close to returning from his groin injury, so the team released quarterback Rohan Davey, signed when Warner got hurt.
The team also placed three players — offensive lineman Ian Allen (back), linebacker Eric Johnson (hamstring) and safety Adrian Mayes (hamstring) — on injured reserve ending their season.
To fill those roster spots, the Cards brought back guard Jeremy Bridges, who had been among the team’s final cuts at the end of camp, and signed cornerback Dyshod Carter and blocking fullback Jarrod Baxter.
The team also promoted safety Aaron Francisco from the practice squad.
