CORVALLIS, Ore. — Lathen Wallace's 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left gave Oregon State at 67-64 victory over Arizona on Thursday night.
Roeland Schaftenaar had a season-high 22 points for the Beavers (8-8, 2-2 Pac-10), who trailed by as many as 11 in the second half after leading by 13 in the first half.
Derrick Williams had 20 points for the Wildcats (8-9, 2-3).
Oregon State outscored Arizona 21-7 after the Wildcats had taken a 57-46 lead on Brendon Lavender's 3-pointer with 8:57 remaining.
After Oregon State forced Arizona into a shot clock violation with 14 seconds left, Calvin Haynes found Wallace alone in the corner for the game-winning shot.
Schaftenaar scored 10 of his points in the final seven minutes and blocked two shots in the final minute, the last on Kyle Fogg which resulted in the Wildcats' shot-clock violation.
Following a timeout, Haynes brought the ball down the floor and drew an extra defender, leaving Wallace, a reserve guard, open in the left corner.
Wallace's shot swished through and sent the Gill Coliseum crowd of 6,746 into a frenzy.
Arizona took a timeout and then turn the ball over on the inbounds play.
Wallace finished with 14 points, and Seth Tarver had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists for Oregon State.
Nic Wise added 16 points for Arizona, which started fast in the second half. Jamelle Horne's 3-pointer capped an 8-2 run as the Wildcats went ahead for the first time, 38-35. Arizona later used a 10-0 stretch go up 57-46.
