Six Arizona State gymnasts have been named Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention, equaling the school record set in 2002.
Senior April Boone, junior Josie Hancock, and sophomores Carrie Finley, Nicole Harris, Ashlee Hinkle and Vanessa Rocca were selected.
This is Boone’s third Pac-10 All-Academic honor. She was named honorable mention in 2005 and on the second team in 2006. Boone also received All-Pac-10 honors on the balance beam this season. She scored the country’s lone perfect 10 in the event.
This is Hancock’s second consecutive year being named honorable mention.
Finley, Harris, Hinkle and Rocca are all first-time honorees.
WATER POLO
Two members of the ASU water polo team have been named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation teams. Addison Doud was honorable mention, while Amanda Stepp secured a spot on the all-freshman team.
