The Psalmist said of the creator, "I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:14.) Indeed, the more we learn about the human body, the more we find ourselves in awe of the creator's handiwork.
Worthy of our attention is the fact that humans have been designed to communicate. The ability to see, hear, taste, touch and smell has been given to us by the creator. Once the information is gathered it is transmitted to a highly sophisticated computer, the brain, where that information is sorted, deciphered and recorded. In turn, thoughts that have been formulated can be conveyed to others by means of the gift of speech. Yes, our Heavenly Father has given his creation the incredible gift of communication.
Well then, if we, the creation, possess the wonderful ability to communicate, logically the creator himself would possess the same ability. Thus, if we can hear, see and speak, are we to conclude that the creator is deaf, dumb and blind? By no means! The creator declares, "The one planting the ear, can he not hear? The one forming the eye, can he not look?" (Psalm 94:9.) Yes, the creator himself can and does communicate.
Hebrews Chapter 1, Verse 1 tells us that in the past the creator "spoke on many occasions and in many ways" to some 40 human writers who then penned the Bible. The creator saw fit to have these men record his thoughts in written form that all men might come to know him and his will. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 1 Timothy 2:3, 4.)
What a reasonable thing do - to have a reliable written record available for the human family. Truly much can be learned about our Heavenly Father from his Word.
Typically, in any relationship that is newly formed, we begin by introducing ourselves to others by revealing our name. (Proverbs 30:4.) Has the creator revealed his name through his written word, the Bible? Yes! Note what is recorded at Psalm 83:18: "That men may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the most high over all the earth." Also see: Exodus 6:3; Isaiah 12:2; Isaiah 26:4.
Jesus Christ, the very son of God, loved and promoted his Father's name. (Matthew 6:9; John 17:6.)
As followers of Christ, may we do likewise!
