Shalom Center events: The Shalom Center on the campus of Tempe Chai, 4645 E. Marilyn Road, Phoenix, offers a variety of programs: “Caring for Our Loved Ones,” a Jewish support and resource group for families and caregivers, led by Gary Goodman and Rabbi Marty Scharf, meets 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the second and fourth Monday in the youth lounge, in cooperation with the Kivel Campus of Care. Scottsdale Job Network, a nonecumenical group open to the unemployed and underemployed, meets 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. the first and third Tuesdays. Next meetings are Tuesday and May 20. CHAI Circle (Cancer, Healing, and Inspiration for Jewish Women) meets at noon the last Friday of the month. No meetings in April.
